Made In Charlotte: A Community. A Contest. The Community: Charlotte Film Community is a non-profit organization run by Juli Emmons and Haven Wilson. It was created on the idea of revealing the filmmakers and actors of the Charlotte area to the surrounding community. Each month the group meets together to share ideas, hear what is going on in the area and network so that together we can bring more film to the area of Charlotte. The Contest: The MADE IN CHARLOTTE competition is a way for these filmmakers to showcase their talent. The winner of the MADE IN CHARLOTTE contest will receive a $500 cash prize, be the lead in film for the premiere of Dale and Tucker vs Evil at the Back Alley Film Series, and will receive the official MADE IN CHARLOTTE stamp at the end of their film. The purpose of the stamp is so that as these films go out into other cities and states, viewers are made aware of the creative talent we have here in Charlotte. There will be a panel of judges for the films as well as a chance to vote online for the viewer's choice award. So if you are interested in being a part of this exciting event, visit our rules page to get all the details. Hope to see you at the movies. Have questions? Email juli@charlottefilmcommunity.com.
